Santa Claus Office stands in Santa Claus Village at Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland, right on the Arctic Circle at 66 degrees north. After the Second World War the city plan was drawn by Alvar Aalto in the shape of a reindeer antler. The timber cabins have steep roofs to shed snow and bright pine interiors; inside the office, the fire, postbox and reindeer hides create an Arctic atmosphere. Recognised as the home of Santa Claus, it receives hundreds of thousands of letters from around the world each year.
